New Classic 1966 BATMAN AND ROBIN TV Series ART BUSTS Coming Out in 2014

Here's some more brand-new "1966 BATMAN" merchandise that will be appearing in 2014. Here is a series of Art busts featuring the Dynamic Duo, individually. Now, i have shown the Adam West "Batman" one here before but the main reason for this post is because they have finally released a pic of what the "Robin, the Boy Wonder" one will look like.



It's not bad, it does
look a lot like Burt Ward. My only complaint, and it's extremely minor
and almost borderlines on "Fanboy-whining", is that the base looks
exactly the same. I'm not sure if that was a design decision or just
something that was cost effective but they could have tried a little
harder. but hey, like I said, that issue is minor. Both of these busts
are very accurate & are a great likeness of each character.



These mini-statues are made by Diamond Select and were designed by Barry Bradfield and
sculpted by Jean St. Jean. Also, they're made out of resin and will measure about six inches tall. They look like they're gonna have a retail price of around $50.00 each. Batman is coming out first, about April, 2014. Then Robin the Boy Wonder will be released in July.

New CLASSIC 1966 BATMAN TV Series Merchandise Spotted at JC Penneys!

Hey, here's some great news for fans of the Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series! Frank, a friend of ours over at our Bat-Blog FACEBOOK Page, just spotted this totally brand-new '66 BATMAN Sweatshirt that they're selling at J. C. Penney's stores. It features the dynamic duo climbing a wall and also has the TV Show Logo, AWESOME!! ( Thanks Frank ).

Here are 2 new Wallpaper Backgrounds I created to celebrate the Classic 1966 BATMAN TV series. 



The 1st one is a vintage black and white photo that shows Adam West and Burt Ward resting between takes. I guess it's sort of a "behind the scenes" photo.



Then, next, here's a more modern day photo showing Adam West waxing the George Barris-style Batmobile car... sweet!

New 1966 BATMAN Classic TV Series Slot Machine Game Spotted in Las Vegas!!

Yes, you read the title correctly, there's a brand-new 1966 Batman Classic TV Series Slot Machine Game in Las Vegas!! Here's a photo showing Adam West at the unavailing. Wow! Just look at the artwork all over this thing! They even have the Joker, Riddler, and Catwoman too. I know this thing is going to be extremely popular because so many people love that TV Show.

Jerry's BAT-BIKE with BATMAN Autograph Collection

Hey, long time Bat-Blog Readers will remember this guy. We featured this Bat-Bike awhile back but Jerry sent us this new photo with some wonderful news. He's been going to a lot of Comic Con events scoring up brand-new autographs for his bike. You see, if he meets someone who is associated with the BATMAN TV Series then he gets them to sign his Bat-Bike!



So far Jerry has collected 12 signatures. First to sign it was George Barris, then to follow: Frank Gorshen (The Riddler), Adam West (Batman), Yvonne Craig (Batgirl), Julie Newmar (Catwoman, TV Show), Lee Meriwether (Catwoman in the 1960's "Batman" Movie), Burt Ward (Robin, the Boy Wonder), Malachi Throne (False-Face), Donna Loren (The Joker's Moll, Susie), Susan Silo (The Riddler's Moll, Mousey) and Terry Moore (Venus Flytrap).

"HOLY MULTIPLE-ARTICULATION, BATMAN!"

The HOT TOYS Company is trying to drive me completely INSANE by making some really great figures based on the 1966 BATMAN TV Show!! Arrgghh! This Classic TV Series was my personal favorite as a little kid and it's also what really got me into the characters, the comic books, and eventually, collecting the toys.



Now, in 2013 (yes, 47 years later, ha ha ), HOT TOYS has plans to release a Set of Batman and Robin Figures and then, a little bit later in the year, a huge 1966 Batmobile vehicle that is HUGE enough for these large dolls.



The crime-fighting hero of Gotham City is rarely seen without his faithful sidekick – Robin in the Batman 1960s television series. The campy and lighthearted TV show has become very popular with fans and a movie was made between the first and second season of the TV series.

Hot Toys is delighted to introduce the 1/6th scale Robin Collectible Figure from the classic 1966 Batman movie. The collectible figure is newly developed and highly detailed which is specially crafted based on the image of the Actor Burt Ward as Robin, the Boy Wonder! It features a screen-accurate masked head sculpt, the classic Robin costume, weapon and accessories.

RARE Vintage Photo of Adam West and Burt Ward Found at Shorpy Website!

The other day a Bat-Blog Fan, named Scott, was kind enough to share this extremely rare black and white photo he came across the other day at the Shorpy website (Click on it for a larger version). If you have never been to that site it's pretty cool.

NEWS UPDATE on the Bat-Blog MOORE TORNADO BATMAN TOY DRIVE

OK, if you have never read the BAT-BLOG before we are mostly all about the joy of collecting Batman. We also love the character and try to cover all the fresh news coming out, stuff like: Vintage Toys, New Collectibles, Video Games, Animated Movies, TV Cartoons, etc... just about anything and everything BATMAN!



As the Writer of this site I also live in Oklahoma and on May 20th we were struck with a major tornado. The big news here was about an Elementary School in Moore, called "Plaza Towers", that got hit. Then, very recently I heard about the story of a School Teacher there who was a major BATMAN Collector and she lost almost all of her collection. You see, she displayed it in her class so her students could also enjoy it.



This is what the BAT-BLOG TOY DRIVE is all about. Trying to help her restock her missing collection. We did a recent post here that explains everything. If you have not read it then please do. If anything there's a great video to watch of some of the news coverage. Just CLICK HERE.



Anyways, this post is an update to what has been going on recently. First, I'd like to repair a typo that I made in the original post. I mentioned that no kids were injured in this event. Sadly, I just found out that 7 children were actually killed in this hit of the school building. None of the kids who died were directly students of the particular Teacher we have been talking about, but it's still incredibly sad news. It's the worst thing I can think of, for something like this to happen. I hope their parents find peace in some way. I can't imagine what this would even be like.



Yeah, major bad news, right?! I'm sorry. The next bit of information will be a little more bright, I hope. First off, here at the Bat-Blog we were contacted by the Agent-Manager who represents both Burt Ward and Adam West. Of course these are the two Actors who played "Batman and Robin, The Boy Wonder" on the classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series!



They are both getting very involved in this event and I could not be more proud of them. They're both really great people. I mean, WOW!! Isn't that so cool?!! Thank you Mr. West, Mr. Ward, and Andrew.

Now, check this out... The Teacher we're trying to help, her name is Ms. Evans, sent us this wonderful photo up above showing a few of the items that some extremely  generous Bat-Blog Readers have sent so far!



There's some great stuff here! The responses have been really awesome and we really appreciate everybody who has written to us so far. The response rate has been a lot higher than I could hope for. Thank you everybody!! But we gotta keep this going and even build on it.
