BATMAN FASHION - Custom HARLEY QUINN 1950's Style Dress

OK, in advance, I'm gonna beg everybody to please PLEASE don't send me 200 emails asking where you can buy this dress, ha ha! I do not know who made it, I'm sorry. This is a random photo I came across the other day while surfing the web and I just knew I had to share it.



Here is an amazing custom dress that is inspired by the "Harley Quinn" character. Yes, this is the Joker's Girlfriend if she donned a totally retro 1950's pin-up style outfit. I gotta say that it's extremely well done, both in design and concept. I love it!!

It's insanely cool! Of course, this is the version of Dr. Victor Fries from Batman: The Animated Series.

Al Bigley's BATMAN HALLOWEEN ADVENTURE with Classic 1966 Adam West Costume

Out of the blue we hear from our good buddy Al Bigley and it appears he went a little nuts celebrating Halloween this year!! Yes, here he is at a fun local event wearing the brand-new Rubie's Classic BATMAN TV Series Halloween Costume. This thing is just like the one worn by Adam West in the 1960's TV show. Jeff's BATMAN COSTUME and BAT-BIKE Vintage Family Photo

OK, instead of Bat-Bike I should have called it "Bat-Trike", ha! Check out this totally wonderful family photo sent in to us by a good friend over at our BAT-BLOG FACEBOOK Fan Page. His name is Jeff and here he is when he was a little boy wearing his favorite Batman Costume and keeping his neighborhood safe from crime! You can also see his favorite mode of transportation, ha! Arturo's CAPTAIN LEATHERWING BATMAN Costume Photos From Mexico!

This post comes from a set of photos sent to us all the way from Mexico. There, we have a Bat-Blog Fan named Arturo who wanted to share with us some really fun photos of the Batman costume he wore for an office party. But this is not the normal Batman we're all used to seeing, this is "Captain Leatherwing".

Now, for the few people who are not familiar with this unusual variation on the Batman character this "Captain Leatherwing" guy appeared in a DC Comics' Elseworlds story from 1994. To be more specific, he appeared in Detective Comics Annual #7 and was written by Chuck Dixon, art by Enrique Alcatena. The basic premise of Elseworlds stories is that the superheroes (characters) are removed from the mainstream continuity and put into a different context. In this case, Batman is an English Pirate Captain, set in a whole different time period. The story is a classic.

Anyways, this is a great choice for some cosplay and his costume is both extremely fun and well-designed.  (Thank you for sharing Arturo!)

I know it's a little early for Halloween (or late, since these are from last year), but I wanted to share these pictures of me dressed up as Captain Leatherwing, from the Elseworlds comic book. This was taken during the Halloween festival at the school where I work. I'm an English language Teacher in Mexico. 

 

Vintage BATMAN Halloween Costume Photo From The 1970's!

Check out this totally awesome vintage family photo we got recently. A friend shared it with us and it really makes us happy! This picture was shot in New Jersey back in the 1970's. It features out friend "Fireman Jeff" with his Brother, Mike, and his Sister, Cindy. what a blast!! I remember, as a little kid, I wanted this costume real bad... but, when we finally got to the store, it was sold out. Instead, I was Casper the Friendly Ghost, ha!

The JOKER and HARLEY QUINN Make Some Strange Appearances!

Here are two random photos I came across on the Internet that are pretty cool. First, some Cosplay guy at a recent Comic Con ( Sorry, I forget which one ) made this incredible "Joker" Mask!!! This is from the recent comic book storyline where the Joker had his face removed, Hannibal Lector-Style!



Then, Harley Quinn is making an appearance on a Magazine Cover. Or, is this a faked cover? Not sure, but the girlie pin-up artwork is incredible!!

WEIRD NEWS - BATMAN BLACKEST KNIGHT Halloween Costume and Zombie Mask

Here's a very weird piece of Batman news I came across recently. I'm not sure if this new product has been out awhile or just started to sell this season but it's really really strange... and also kinda cool! The Rubie's Costume Company is making a "Blackest Night Zombie Batman" Costume and latex mask. It comes in both Adult and Child sizes.
