New CLASSIC 1966 BATMAN TV SERIES BENDABLE FIGURES by NJ Croce!

Here at the Bat-Blog awhile back we reported about some brand-new BATMAN 5 1/2" Bendable Figures that are being made by the NJ Croce toy company. Those were all based on "silver age comic book" versions of the characters.



Well, now, they have announced some more they're gonna be making and they are based on the Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series! Our first photo here up above shows what the "Adam West BATMAN" figure is gonna look like. Yes, they're gonna sell these on individual blister cards first (retailing for about $8 each) and then later you can buy the complete set in a fancy window box. You can look for all this stuff to hit stores around March, 2014. Also, please keep in mind that these are "prototype photos" and the actual product may vary.



The characters include: Batman, Robin the Boy Wonder, The Penguin, Catwoman and The Joker too!

MOEBIUS MODEL KIT - New Photos of the Classic Adam West 1966 BATMAN TV Series Figure!

Here's a quick post to share some amazing photos we just got from Moebius Model Kits. They show many different angles of the brand-new 1966 BATMAN TV Show Model Kit they made of Adam West. We also get to see it in completed form, all painted very professionally. 



Oh man, this kit is so beautiful. You can look for it in retail stores around April of 2014. That's not too far away but I can hardly wait to see it, ha!

Marc's Amazing VINTAGE BATMAN TOYS Toy Collection Photo!!

Oh man, this photo has SO MUCH WIN!! Here's a pic we received awhile back from a friend named Marc who we also know on our BAT-BLOG FACEBOOK page ( If you're not a member, then please JOIN US! It's FREE, ha ha! ). Anyways, Marc wanted to share a few of his ultra-cool Batman Toys in his Vintage Toy Collection.



There's some really great stuff here like: The 1966 Batman Night Light, some Corgi  and Corgi Juniors Diecast Cars, Kenner Superpowers Action Figures, Batman and Robin Captain Action Dolls, some Applause PVC Figures, a Ceramic Bank, the Aladdin 1960's Lunch Box, an Ideal Hand Puppet, Plastic Bust Bank by Mego, and much much more! All of this stuff is making me drool like a crazy person because it's all so beautiful!!

Brand-New BATMAN COLLECTOR ITEMS To Keep An Eye Out For!

Like I'm not being tortured already with all the crazy-new batman merchandise out there already (Thanks Mattel & Hot Toys) but here's a few new extremely cool Batman items to look out for in the near future. Well, most of them are cool, except one, more on that later.

First off, the Eaglemoss Company in the UK recently announced they will be adding Frank Miller's "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns" Tank to their Automobilia Collection of Batmobiles. No exact release date just yet but stay tuned here to the BAT-BLOG for more pics and info later.



Then, here's a nice pic of that BATMAN Papercraft Toy Set being put out by Funko. We have featured this new toy here before but this new photo gives you a better idea on the packaging and so on, it's cool!

Last, and here's the item I have a problem with (ha ha), check out this incredibly stupid BATMAN LEG LAMP. Since it's a total rip-off of the famous "Leg Lamp" from The Christmas Story movie it will probably come out during the holidays. I can't believe they actually made this thing. I think it's as dumb as those tube socks with the mini-superhero-cape  built on the back! Oh well, it looks like the boot here lights-up so that's a bonus, ha!

HOT TOYS - New ADAM WEST BATMAN Classic 1960's Movie 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure

I gotta say that I'm really excited to be sharing this news on the Bat-Blog for several reasons. One, as a little kid I was a HUGE fan of the Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series and it's so cool that HOT TOYS is coming out with some amazing super-detailed, incredibly life-like, figures. (Also, as I post this, it's September 19th which is Adam West's birthday and what a great way to celebrate). 



Next, this toy company has done an amazing job on these figures. I love their attention to detail and accurately. Yes, Super-Crybabies with Electron-Microscopes can ALWAYS find flaws.... but these new figures are pretty great!


Hot Toys is excited to introduce the 1/6th scale Batman Collectible Figure from the 1966 feature film. The collectible figure is newly developed and highly detailed, which is specially crafted based on the image of Adam West as the iconic character Batman, featuring a screen-accurate masked head sculpt, specially made costume with Batman Logo, Weapons and Accessories.

New Funko 1966 BATMAN TV Series POP Heroes! Vinyl Figures and Dallas Comic Con EXCLUSIVE JOKER

Just a quick post to share some pic of some new Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series Toys that are coming out soon. Funko is making some POP Hereoes Figures of Adam West Batman, Burt Ward Robin (The Boy Wonder!), Julie Newmar Catwoman, and Cesar Romero Joker. Look for these in October, 2013.

NEW VIDEO - Michael's Awesome BATMAN TOYS and STATUE COLLECTION!

Here's a quick post to share this really great video created by a friend of ours. His name is Michael and, as you'll see in this clip, he's a HUGE Batman Fan! This is something he put together to show us his Batman Toy and Statue Collection. He talks about it too and it's really neat (Thanks Mike!).

VIDEO: Bat-Blog BATMAN TOY DRIVE Appears on Local TV Station, News 9!

Wow.... WOW! The big news with the Bat-Blog right now, and the BATMAN TOY DRIVE we're doing for the School Teacher who lost her Batman Toy Collection during the May 20th Tornado in Moore, Oklahoma, got some major press last night. It's all been pretty exciting! 



Yesterday, I was contacted by Michael Konopasek, a News Reporter for our local Channel 9 TV News Station, here where I live, and he said he was doing a follow-up story on Becky Joe Evans who is now starting to become known as the "Plaza Towers Batman Teacher". Last month they did a story about her and after being inspired by their broadcast I started a Toy Drive to see if me and my readers could help. Somehow they found out about the Bat-Blog doing this and decided to add me to the broadcast. So, I went to their building to be taped. Yeah, crazy right?!



Wow! It was crazy! To be honest, I really hate having my photo taken, even by friends or family. But I knew it would be great press for our event so I went to be interviewed. Now, knowing that you're gonna be seen by a ton of people... is completely nerve-racking, ha! The funny thing is that they interviewed me, on camera, for approx. 30 minutes... and then, after editing, I only appear for roughly 30 seconds, ha! But they did mention the Bat-Blog and how we're trying to raise donations so that was completely wonderful.



But the best part of the whole thing, honestly (for me anyway) was that they went to the Moore Elementary School and they filmed some of the stuff that has been donated by Loyal Bat-Blog Readers. Oh man! This is the first time I have got to even see this stuff. it's been incredible. I'm so thankful and grateful for the amazing generosity of the Bat-Blog's readership. I mean, I know that the response rate has been pretty good because everyone who has sent stuff, first, had to contact me for a mailing address. So, I knew those numbers were more than I expected (way beyond expectations) but to actually get to see all the great stuff people have sent... it's beyond words. 



OK, I'm starting to realize that I'm almost writing a novel here, ha ha, sorry about that, but I'm really emotional about this and at the same time very excited! Some Fans of this site have really gone the extra mile towards acting in a very giving way and I'm deeply touched by it. Honestly, I'm extremely grateful, Thank you everybody... Thank you SO much.

UPDATE: Bat-Blog BATMAN TOY DRIVE For Moore, Oklahoma Tornado Event

I know a lot of people are going to want to hear about this because it's all very good news! Long-Time Readers of the BAT-BLOG know that for the last few weeks we have been running a BATMAN TOY DRIVE for a 1st Grade School Teacher in Moore, Oklahoma, who lost almost her entire Batman Toy & Memorabilia Collection when her school, The Plaza Towers Elementary, got hit. Her name is Becky Joe Evans.



We started a TOY DRIVE to collect donations for her so she can restore her collection. The wonderful thing, and I sincerely mean this, the wonder thing is that many readers of this site have become heavily involved. When I talked to her recently she said donations have been flooding in. I can't be any more excited about this and I really appreciate it so much. Seriously, this has practically restored my faith in humanity, ha!



Anyways, we have two brand-new major pieces of news to share. 



One, Matthew Price, over at our local "Daily Oklahoman" Newspaper, published an online story yesterday at their "NERDAGE" page that shared the story. That helped a lot (Thanks Matt) and you can read it by clicking HERE!



Then, this morning I was contacted by a local TV News Station, News 9 (Channel 9, a CBS Affliate) and eariler this night I went to their building to be filmed for about 30 minutes. Now, the funny thing is that they will probably edit me down to 30 seconds if I even show-up at all, ha! But, if all goes well, our story might be on the local TV news tonight! If you live near Oklahoma City, OK. then please be sure to watch at 10:00 tonight ( Wednesday, Sept. 4th ). 



If it does air they will probably (hopefully) share it online and I'll be able to share it here later. So please stay tuned.



Anyways, this is all about our BATMAN TOY DRIVE and if you want to get involved then you can do a few of these things:



What we here at the BAT-BLOG want to do is start a BATMAN TOY DRIVE to help her renew some of her collection. We want YOU, our readers, to please get involved and HELP IN ANY WAY YOU CAN!



We're asking you to please do one or two of these things:



1. If you can, please donate some Batman Toys or other Memorabilia. Well, just about anything "Batman". If you e-mail me I will give you an address where you can mail them directly to her and her class. Please don'y mail anything directly to the School because they have a lot more important things to do now that classes have JUST started. Here's my e-mail button:

NEWS UPDATE on the Bat-Blog MOORE TORNADO BATMAN TOY DRIVE

OK, if you have never read the BAT-BLOG before we are mostly all about the joy of collecting Batman. We also love the character and try to cover all the fresh news coming out, stuff like: Vintage Toys, New Collectibles, Video Games, Animated Movies, TV Cartoons, etc... just about anything and everything BATMAN!



As the Writer of this site I also live in Oklahoma and on May 20th we were struck with a major tornado. The big news here was about an Elementary School in Moore, called "Plaza Towers", that got hit. Then, very recently I heard about the story of a School Teacher there who was a major BATMAN Collector and she lost almost all of her collection. You see, she displayed it in her class so her students could also enjoy it.



This is what the BAT-BLOG TOY DRIVE is all about. Trying to help her restock her missing collection. We did a recent post here that explains everything. If you have not read it then please do. If anything there's a great video to watch of some of the news coverage. Just CLICK HERE.



Anyways, this post is an update to what has been going on recently. First, I'd like to repair a typo that I made in the original post. I mentioned that no kids were injured in this event. Sadly, I just found out that 7 children were actually killed in this hit of the school building. None of the kids who died were directly students of the particular Teacher we have been talking about, but it's still incredibly sad news. It's the worst thing I can think of, for something like this to happen. I hope their parents find peace in some way. I can't imagine what this would even be like.



Yeah, major bad news, right?! I'm sorry. The next bit of information will be a little more bright, I hope. First off, here at the Bat-Blog we were contacted by the Agent-Manager who represents both Burt Ward and Adam West. Of course these are the two Actors who played "Batman and Robin, The Boy Wonder" on the classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series!



They are both getting very involved in this event and I could not be more proud of them. They're both really great people. I mean, WOW!! Isn't that so cool?!! Thank you Mr. West, Mr. Ward, and Andrew.

Now, check this out... The Teacher we're trying to help, her name is Ms. Evans, sent us this wonderful photo up above showing a few of the items that some extremely  generous Bat-Blog Readers have sent so far!



There's some great stuff here! The responses have been really awesome and we really appreciate everybody who has written to us so far. The response rate has been a lot higher than I could hope for. Thank you everybody!! But we gotta keep this going and even build on it.

BATMAN AND JOKER TOY NEWS - 2013 Funko Products!

One of my favorite modern-day toy makers is a toy company called FUNKO and here are a few new BATMAN products and toys they plan to release this year. 



The 1st example is the "Batman vs. Joker Throwdown Game". It comes out next month (September) and will retail for around $29.99. Basically, it's a dice, a card, and a board game... all in one! It also has a 12-Inch tall vinyl figure packaging that features the Caped Crusader!



Each game comes with two, 2 1/2-inch tall collectible vinyl figure game pieces (Batman and Joker). Beat your opponent by using Combat Cards, Battle Cards, Boost Coins and Battle Dice. Be on the lookout for booster packs to collect more Combat Cards and Collectible Game Piece Characters (sold separately). The game is easy to learn and play and comes with detailed instructions.

Then, next-up, is a cool set of Batman and Joker School Supplies. These are a part of their "Tin-Tastic Activity Set" line. It's a cool "Can-Tivities" tin container in the shape of some of our favorite characters and it comes with 2 Pencils, 2 Figure-Shaped Erasers, and a  nice Sticker Sheet. In the 1st wave they are offering two different ones of the Batman and the Joker ( They will also be making one of Robin ). These cans measure about 6" tall and will retail for around 9 bucks. They have a release date of "August". AHHH! That's this month, so keep an eye out right now when you are cruising thru your favorite retail store.

New Photos of KUAN'S CUSTOM BATMAN TOYS! (Some Green Hornet too!)

Hey, check it out! Our good buddy Kuan sent us some photos of a few of his Batman Custom Toys he has made recently. First there are a bunch of variations on the Batman and Robin characters. 



Then, he also did some very cool ones revolving around the "Green Hornet" characters. These are all totally great! Thanks for sharing these Kuan, good job and keep it up dude, your toys are both fun and very well done.
